Photo Fun: Your last project is to go and perfect Photos:

  • Take a picture of a picture (how do you take it correctly so there is no glare)
  • Take a macro shot (of a flower or plant)
  • Take a photo of something in the air
(bonus: create a filmstrip of three different attempts of one of these shots, insert the image to a word document and then print it out with the names of the two people in that group). due tomorrow for bonus points.

Students will understand a nuance in Gimp that is not as easy to manipulate in Photoshop: filmstrip feature; students will be able to recreate the effect with their own images and submit this finalized work to the discussion board.

Students will understand a new application for digital imagery in Gimp.  Students will be able to differentiate toolbars in Photoshop and Gimp.

Students are working on their comic strips. Some are taking photos, others are using InDesign and Illustrator to fine tune their projects. Yearbook students will finish the ladder and begin working on individual pages.

1.4

I assigned the comic book strip assignment. It can be found on the communicator site and also as an attachment in Standard Score. Students worked on the projects and decided which goals they would want to achieve for the assignment.

Students took an AP image and created a comic book effect with it using a tutorial. This tutorial link can be revisited on the Communicator page under links. We also laid out a basic comic book in Word using a table. Students inserted basic images and then added text boxes (this is the bare minimum for the Comic Book assignment).
